Matthew Joy holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Jazz Composition from Berklee College of Music and a Master of Arts degree, with specialization in Jazz Studies, from Middle Tennessee State University. He has 20 years of experience teaching guitar, theory and composition to students of all levels, ages and various playing styles.
Matthew is currently an elementary school music teacher for the Palm Beach School District. He has also taught many years as a professor of music at Tennessee State University and Florida Atlantic University teaching applied guitar, guitar studio, commercial music ensembles (Latin, blues, rock, fusion), and jazz guitar ensembles. He also maintains a roster of private students.
